Channeling Your Emotion Through Knowledge

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

A negative mindset will never produce positive living. What you permit in your thought determines the direction of your life.

What keeps us together or keep our emotions in check as believers should not be an exercise of will. If you try to keep things together by an act of self-will as a believer, it will not last because it is rooted in the flesh and not in the spirit!

We need the right knowledge as believers to overcome negative emotions.

First, we must understand the preeminence or superiority of the spiritual world over the natural world.

Colossians 1:9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

We are not trying to get God to do anything that is not already done. What we are doing is harnessing His finished work by the revelation of the spirit!

Colossians 1:16

¹⁶ For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

*Just because something is invisible does not mean it does not exist. *That something is unavailable does not mean it is unattainable!

Second, we must learn to call the things that are not as though they were!

How to ride over the negative emotion is to project what is in the invisible world by speaking them into existence! God called the light because it already existed but He had to call it. God spoke the nature into existence because it already existed

Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

How do I utilize the knowledge of God to channel your emotion in the right direction?

1. Understand that nothing happens on earth except it’s sanctioned from heaven: John 3: John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing, unless it be given him from Heaven.
2. Never allow the temporary to obstruct the eternal: See things with the kingdom lenses. 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
3. Every setback is a set up for a bounce back: This is not automatic if you don’t have the right knowledge and expectation! 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Romans 8: ²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
